Statistical Analysis and Modeling
To support an organization’s mission and operations, additional resources are often required because of changing laws, new policies and programs, or initiatives. Effectively justifying funding for new resource needs requires assessing the impact of such changes and the drivers of resource needs. Fentress is expert at examining both quantitative data and qualitative factors. We use advanced statistical techniques to project workload demands, personnel needs, and resource requirements. To perform these analyses, Fentress has expertise in the areas of simulation modeling, manpower modeling, and forecasting. Fentress is also adept in conducting financial analysis such as cost-benefit, sensitivity and risk analysis, and impact analysis.
In addition to our rigorous statistical methods, we often use subject matter experts to gain insight into programs, validate data, develop planning assumptions, and intuitively predict future resource demands. We use a variety of techniques to work with subject matter experts, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, cross impact analyses, Delphi analyses, and SWOT analyses. The art in our process is blending rigorous data analysis with the intuition and experience of subject matter experts.
Our models and methods successfully quantify the relationships between mission, workload, and resource needs for organizations, which are important aspects in justifying and formulating resource budgets.
