Fentress Receives a Contract from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA)

Fentress recently began work on a new contract with the GSA, Office of the Chief Architect, Design Excellence and the Arts Division, to develop a process to evaluate proposed facility project designs and compare them with established performance measures for the specific building type.  Fentress will also identify and implement an automated tool to support the evaluation process.

This is the second facility design evaluation project that Fentress has worked on for GSA.  The first project involved developing and implementing a survey that evaluated the success of the Design Excellence Program on 25 federal courthouses built within the past 20 years.  The results of the survey were presented by the GSA Chief Architect at a 2007 national forum on courthouse design.

Fentress Begins Work on a New Contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS)

In November 2008, Fentress began work on a new contract with the HHS Office of the Inspector General (OIG) to implement recommendations for improvements to its facilities management program.  In an earlier contract with HHS-OIG, Fentress had assessed all elements of the program, including the organizational structure, staffing, project management, budgeting, space standards, and information technology, and identified 38 specific recommendations for improvement to the program along with an implementation plan for each recommendation.  In this new contract, Fentress will support HHS-OIG as it executes the recommendations and to improve and enhance its facilities management program.
