Baltimore, Maryland Circuit Courthouse

Project Summary:
Fentress was hired as a subcontractor to Brasher Design to evaluate the Clarence M. Mitchell, Jr. Circuit Courthouse in Baltimore, MD to determine whether the courthouse could be renovated to include an additional high-volume courtroom for large proceedings.  Fentress met with court personnel to tour the courthouse and to address issues associated with the courtroom, including courtroom layout and configuration, security, adjoining chambers, and ancillary spaces.  Fentress also preliminarily identified an area of the facility that could accommodate the type of courtroom required and developed a recommended courtroom layout to maximize the use of the space.
